Go Up Go Down

Hi All,

 Hello

I'm new to the forum and new to the hobbie of metal detecting.  Just bought myself an Ace 250 - but haven't had the time to go out and play with the new toy yet.

I bought the detector so that I could go gold prospecting and with all interesting hobbies there is a lot more involved then just packing up the car and driving somewhere - but if it was easy we'd all be rich.

My first big challenge in this new hobbie is going to be learning how to research where likely areas for gold detecting.  I'm hoping I can pick up some tips & tricks here.

Cheers
Grumpy

Hello, Grumpy.   Welcome from Arizona.   The Ace 250 is a really good machine, especially as a started detector.  It isn't generally thought of as a gold producer, at least not in the United States---but given how many nice size nuggets there are coming out of Australia, you ought to be able to find at least few with that machine.

Good luck with your adventures and welcome from Washington state. I would suggest joining some sort of club if there is one available.

Peace

Sean
