Thank you all...Boulogne is effectively a historic place and should have a lot still under...but I'm very afraid finding militaria
I'll have many questions to ask but gonna have a look on the forum before...I'll let u know what will be my Detecting

Understand finding militaria concern. When I said history, I was thinking all the troops that had used your city for base, before invasions hundreds of years ago, and all the old coins or small objects that could have been lost. Detectors can tell you the metal, size and depth of target so technology is a plus. Sue

First I was thinking buying a "sound only" detector...but your post might make me think twice...but I don't know if, hearing sthg I could leave it without digging...
