Hi all!

In my topic "Looking like meteorite?" in the ? Reply #20 on: February 13, 2010, 08:14:33 AM ?
I wrote about the found bracelets:

"A few years ago I found in mountains three bracelets: the two made of bronze, and one
was made of iron, and has a snake heads at it's ends! All three was situated side-by-side in one place and was detected at about 10 sm. The age is the Bronze."

I then was in Moscow and couldn't show a photo.
Here this photo of those bracelets.

The interesting point: the two bracelets of Bronze age are buried together with the snake heads bracelet made of iron. May be made of meteorite iron?

I am not sure why you think its from a meteorite. Please explain what lead to this conclusion.

Hi Seldom

I am not sure too. The simple logic: ancients in bronze age had no difficult technology of fusion of iron from ore.
They could use simply the found meteorites, make things by hammering.
I have posted about that in

" It is interesting, in armenian language "iron" sounds like "erkat", Erknki-Kat, verbatim: "sky-drop". There are many other languages in world, where iron is synonym of meteorite.
May be  the first native iron weapons was made of iron meteorite?"

Regards, Sasha

You may be on to something there Sasha I am going to call a friend that is an arkie at UofH

The iron nickel alloy was used by several cultures for the manufacturing of tools and weapons. For example the Inuit used parts of the Cape York meteorite. There are also reports of their use for manufacture of various items in Tibet.

Hi Seldom
Hi Karl
I have found today this information, it was pleasant to me:

"Primitive man everywhere used meteoric iron in the earliest stage of his metal culture"
