Detecting Hello I have just place a Safari on order at Kellyco. I think it will be great on the beach and intend to work from the surf line up to the sands edge----------I live in Sarasota and think there will be lots of items which have been tossed up beach by those storms. The depth of the Safari seems to be great and since I've never doe this I think this machine will reduce the learning curve for me. I can also work dry land sites with it. The water proof machines do not seem as flexible nor do they seem to give such good sound signals. Opinions please.

Welcome from Arizona........You're right about there being a lot of THunting potential in the Sarasota area.  We're planning on spending our whole week there the next time we go to Florida rather than just two nights......don't forget there are lots of possible places besides the beach, including circus related areas and some of the vacant lots downtown looked interesting (if you can get permission)

Thanks for the greeting. Used to live in the Valley of the Sun some years back- enjoyed it a lot.  Yes the circus related areas will be good and yup on the down town stuff-- near the fair grounds on Fruitville would be good also.
