Go Up Go Down

Im asking the experienced about whats best for all round beach/treasure hunting and waterproof with occassional nugget hunting.I first looked at internet and checked out the minelab X-TERRA.But then saw the Garrett AT pro(although how good id it in OZ soils with all that mineral stuff). Also looked at youtube excalibur model but seems a bit pricey and mostly a divers unit. All seem good but would I be right in saying the garrett seems better as a waterproof unit?Im mostly looking at coin beach hunting as I dont know enough about OZ Gold fields and when I tried years ago most properties seem barbwired off and well where do you go thats not private property or over worked gold areas. So my mind moved to lost items and its great fun finding things thats been lost or burried for years. So ive started an old interest again and appreciate advise. Thanks for any replies. If anyone wants to sell a late model Garret AT pro im interested, although at $590 new they seems pretty reasonable.Im in Victoria.

The Garrett and the Minelab will both work fine in OZ but before you spend any money check out the Tosoro Sand Shark. Let us know what you decide and how it works out for you.
