"Knights of the Golden Circle"

A make believe group that the conspiracy nuts have tried to make into a group that hide large treasures during the civil war.

This almost sounds like the plot to the National Treasure movie (with Nicholas Cage). In the first movie - it was the free Masons, but in the 2nd movie, I think that they specifically mentioned KGC in there.

Thanks

Yeah you got it LOL Some folks can't tell the differences between fact and fiction. After that movie opened the treasure community was flooded with armchair treasure hunter trying to tie the Masons the KKK the Spanish Conquistadors Larry the cable guy to one big world conspiracy of treasure hiders.

Hello, John.

Welcome from Arizona.   Despite what you've read here, there are SOME true believers in the KGC that frequent our site.   There are also some very curious folks who want to believe and are not convinced either way AND there are a lot of people who based on their own research and experience figure at least 90% of the KGC stories is pure hogwash, legends that have been spun from cobwebs.
So feel free to look around and participate to your heart content.  Just keep in mind that while we try to keep discussions civil people will challenge your statements, especially on controversial subjects like KGC, Yamashita Treasures, the prevalence and meaning of "treasure signs", the Lost Dutchman, the Victorio Peak treasure, etc, etc, so be prepared to support your positions.   (Although it never hurts to say this is what I believe and why I believe it....as long as you're also willing to be "educated").
One thing is for sure, if you're active in the debates, you WILL become better at researching.....and you know that has to be a big help whether there is truth behind the legends or not.

BA

John, most of the KGC followers here believe that there are puzzles to solve that were created by men on the run, dodging capture, fighting small skirmishes and generally fleeing faster than they should have while carrying gold. This just didn't happen. Not only that but they most certainly would not have hidden treasure so anyone could find it 150 years later. Believe what you wish but try a little common sense sprinkled in to keep you focused on reality.

They also didn't hang around a campfire drawing elaborate maps and writing codes in journals so the treasure might be found by a casual onlooker to their proceedings.
