That's - 34  like in 34 below zero.  Dang Andy that's cold and I am upset that it's going to be in the high 20 at night and low 30's for the next 3 days here.

I keep telling y'all this is the time to be swinging a detector in Southern Arizona.   South of I-40, our lows are staying above freezing and our highs are running between 68 and 75 F.    (Of course, give us another 5 or 6 months and we'll be heading to the northern half of the state when we aren't going into research hibernation).....In the meantime, Andy, welcome.   My Dad's father was born in Moosejaw.  I've got photos of my GreatGrandfather riding his mule through the town.

Good God O-Mighty, that's some damn sho cold weather ya'll are having in Saskatchewan---how can you stand it? I bet a detector wouldn't even function in such cold conditions. I've heard of a fellow who extended his battery lead wires on his detector and he kept the batteries snug against his body underneath a wet suit and had several layers of clothes over that... if he didn't do this, then his batteries would drain too quick and the detector would be useless. It is a good time for research and planning, though. Maybe you will think of some good place to search that will bring much good luck to you in the form of good finds.
