Helllllloooo THers!

I live in Colonial Beach, Virginia USA where there are endless stories of lost treasure. I am looking for fellow THers to help me search. So if you live in Virginia (or looking to come on Vacation) let me know.

Treasure Story #1: Revolutionary War General Lighthorse "Harry" Lee had his HQ at the old Colonial Beach Hotel (now torn down) and buried his payroll on the grounds.

Treasure Story #2: Confederates used the town as a port during the Civil War and buried vast gold treasure in the town in a hasty retreat caused by the approach of Union gunboats sailing down the Potomac River. In the 1970's, a William and Mary College (now University) Professor led students on a search of this treasure.

Treasure Story #3: Pirates used the Colonial Beach Point and the Munroe Bay (now spelled Monroe) for maintenance of their ships.  Several pirates were hung by other pirates at the point and their bodies were uncovered in recent years.  Since this was a base of Pirate operations, the belief that treasure was buried nearby has continued.

Treasure Story #4: From 1950-1958, gambling parlors were built on piers over the Potomac River since gambling was legal in Maryland but illegal in Virginia.  Since most of the gambling as coin slot machines, the belief that coinsf all denominations lie in the sand around the ruins of these piers seems very logical.

I would love to see someone (anyone) find these treasures.

Thanks for the link.   Definitely a lead that anyone in the area would find worth developing and following....(or rather leads, since every lead like that brings with it leads to individuals that are worth investigating in and of themselves).
