Hello Goldenstar

 Welcome

If you look in Legendary treasure forum you will find a heap of information about Boer War and the Dorothea.

If you have old photos you like to share please post them as it is an interesting topic.

Hi Goldenstar

Hi Xavier
I know very little about the Grosvenor other than what was told me by my grandparents. I think they were ticked off about all of the money spent on the treasure hunt. My grandmother had some relics from the wreck that she showed me, green jade beads I seem to recall. The Grosvenor book says they recovered some cannon but this was never mentioned to me. I wish I was back in SA as I would like to delve into the Dorothea story more fully.

I have a book (sunken treasure) in it is the detailed journey of the Grosvenor if you like I can scan the pages concerning here fate and post them on the forum.

Regards Xavier

Hi Xavier

I have not read the story of the Grosvenor since I was a kid (the year they signed the Magna Carta), I do not remember the author's name but only the reference to my Grandfather Joseph Chiazzari. I only stumbled upon the reference to the Dorothea last weekend and have included it in the book that has been written about my family and is due to go to the publishers this week.
