 Detecting Great I just dug up my first find with my new Whites MXT , imagine how much fun it will be when I learn to use it ? What I found  is what they call a trade token for .25 cents in trade . Does anyone know any more info on these things ? It was about 4 inches deep in my own backyard !

Hi Cali.   Welcome to THunting.com and congratulations on your first find. 
Can you post a picture of both the front and the back of the trade token?  (Scanners usually give better images than most people get with their cameras).   Some of the trade tokens can be worth a whole lot of money.


In addition to reading some of the previous posts, especially in the Beginners and Metal Detecting in General sections, you might want to look at our Tokens, Tags and Medals board........and (just as an added bonus, I've added another link that will lead you to more token information than you probably dreamed was out there  Smiley )

Thanks for responding , unfortunately I dont have a scanner , I can try posting it another way . But I will let you know what my token says....on one side it has good for .25 cents in trade , the reverse has " Los angeles CA , Victor Paint company , bottom reads 1932 pasadena Ave................................any idea as to what year this came out ?
