Go Up Go Down

 Welcome

I am up, full of coffee and itching to hit the Beach! If anyone has suggestions on where to go detecting in or @ Galveston Beach/Island, Texas PLEASE let me know!
I think this morning my husband and I are going to try Galveston Island State Park. I know that is a good place to find shark teeth, sea glass, and fossils, etc.....but how will it stack up in other treasures? We will see. Let ya know later!

Welcome from New Mexico!

We have a few folks from down that way I think!

Better do some checking on the State Park thing.  Most are a no no.

Stick around and meet the folks.

You're probably right! That could be a little sketchy.....if I can't go there I am thinking West End or even over the ferry to Crystal Beach (post Ike area). Thanks for the wise heads up! Gone to the Beach.

Hey, BeachSifter.....welcome from a Texan in Arizona.   I'd stay away from Texas State Parks, they aren't exactly detector friendly.  That being said, there are a whole lot of places in the Galveston area that are and which produce good results.  Use the search function at the top right, put in "Galveston" and search the entire forum.   You'll find some leads that Seldom and other members from the immediate area have put in previously.
