That photo is impossibly blurry, BA. Also, why does he suspect that is a bad part? An op amp can have a zero output if the node is a current node rather than a voltage node.

This thread, as it is right now, is a complete waste of time. We need a very sharp, clear image first of all. Secondly, we need to know exactly why he believes the part is faulty. Troubleshooting is far more appropriate than part identification.

I was told by repair guys that the part was blown. The horizontal Ic from the bottom and to the left looking at the MC. (I know little about the electronics))About an inch and a half up. I will condense the photo and resend.(only can send 500kbs.)The current was accidentally reversed but they repaired adjoining parts but not that with no number>>>Help!!!!

Hello Mike
And welcome from down under Australia
I'm looking for the schematics on this model myself
A friend is going to give me one to get it tested
So far if you are lucky I have found one but has not all the I.C's numbers
But it has a few if you trace the points and in your case the one you are showing has 14 legs
It could be I.C=4023  or I.C=4024 or I.C=4093 if you are lucky
Maybe if you copy this Schematic and show them they might fix it
I have myself the later model that only a few where made with the true hip-mount set up with re-tune on the actual control box
And it's one of the best Ground balance detectors I have ever used against the mineral or black iron heavy soils and that's where the heavy gold gets trapped.Being one of the first they made. They put the best they had to compete against the other brands.
Maybe you should start a new thread about the Goldseeker 15000 wanting schematics or diagrams on part numbers
Here are the pics and schematics
Good Luck
