New here, In Philadelphia.. I Lived in the United Kingdom until 1998 when I moved here, I Used to collect bottles and clay pipes as a teenager and found and dug out some very good pits, Best find ever was half a Bellarmine jug with the upper and face intact, also many ink pots and jars, I was luck to live in a area with much history and some new houses being built so new finds were never short.. sadly all lost or given away over the years
..
So looking forward to starting again at age 40!..I now collect ww1-ww2 militaria but always have a soft spot for digging out pits and old bottles
