Just starting out, haven't even bought a detector yet, but looks like it will be a Garrett Euroace from Regton, partly because they're local to me, but also because because I can't justify the extra cost of a Golden Mask 3 from Evergreen.

Hi, welcome to the forum and, soon, to metal detecting. I'd buy the detector with the most depth ability myself, but, of course, I'd be wishful of finding one of those hoards. Beginner seems to be a key factor in finding them so 'go for it' & good luck! Sue

Welcome and when you get your machine keep right on swinging till you can't swing it no more.  Keep with it and a Garrett will do you justice.  Detecting

Welcome from New Mexico.   Ace's are kick but machines without a doubt.

Wet salt sands blinds them.  I've seen were people knock down the sense and it works.

gOOgle YouTube Ace and there are a few tutorials on doing it.
