 Detecting
I'm Dave and I started in this crazy hobby back in 1973.  I bought a used Jetco BFO detector.  My best find with that was a 1944 Walking Liberty half; I was hooked!  I've owned detectors from most of the major manufacturers, including Garrett, Whites, Minelab, Fisher (Los Banos and First Texas), Teknetics and Tesoro.  I currently swing a Fisher F75 and a Teknetics Omega 8000.  A few years back, I decided to try hunting gold nuggets.  Using a Tesoro Lobo Super Trac, I did find over an ounce of gold.  I mostly coin shoot today, since the productive gold areas are more than 250 miles from home.
Ours is a great hobby!
Regards,
Dave
