Hello everyone. I'm Gabe, and I have been enjoying reading through the forums, checking out videos, etc. I'm looking forward to enjoying some time out hunting. My wife has an Uncle that really got my interest spiked several years ago in Up State NY, where he hunts arrowheads and other misc trading goods. He' quite brilliant at it, and the knowledge and love of it are inspiring. I haven't traditionally had a lot of time for hobbies, but I'm hoping that this will be a good one that some of my family will find fun and interesting. Probably going to hunt arrowheads early on, but my greatest interest is meteorites. I live in the Uwharrie region, (largest find in NC from what I have found so far) so I should be able to find some interesting areas to search. Anyway, just wanted to say hello, and I look forward to chatting with you.  

Oh yeah, so for those that are curious about the choice of a Pirate flag, all my family cars have Pirate flag front plates, but that's more of a love for the keys than anything else. That being said, I'm an Information Security Engineer, so there is a bit of a connection there as well.

Welcome Gabe from Utah! If you like to watch metal detecting videos, then you may want to check out some that are produced from a guy out in your area called nuggetnoggin (on youtube). He's had some really amazing results in the past couple of years! I think he's from around the SC area.
