Minelab Explorer II

Hello,

Awesome Site.   I am currently sitting on the edge of the east coast of Florida looking at all these buttons and setting on my Minelab explorer II.  I bought it 4 years ago then ended up changing jobs and moving. I haven't really played much with it yet, the last two nights on the beach I have removed a lot of bottle caps, and 2 pennies (1994 vintage) so I know that I have at least got machine turned on  Idea.  I love the little pictures the screen shows when it "finds" something it has shown the ring picture a few times and turns up bottle caps (If I could convince my wife, by showing her the screen that bottle caps are jewelery, imagine how happy I could make her).  I haven't looked yet on the site but I will to see if anyone has any recommend settings for my machine for the beach.

I'll let you know what I find tonight, I am going to drive South to New Smyrna Beach and look for bottle caps Shocked

Hope everyone has a great day. Waveing

Regards

Rover

Hello Rover, welcome to THunting.com.    Since neither minelabs nor beaches are my forte, we'll both have to wait for the answers.   I do know that we have several members who can help answer your questions (or at least point you in the proper direction)

In 1986 I Was station in  Satelite Beach.

In a while I will show you the places that produced.

Nothing looks the same any more.

But I know what was Were.

Chucks Steak house was the Best.

It's still there.

In Florida, any thing between the Low and High tide is open land.

Yep!   I wish I was back there again.

:-I did not make it to New Smyrna Beach, Life got snuck up and got in the way, a simple oil change on my truck turned into an all day affair, and by the time I got untangled my "Allotted" free time was gone.  So it was back to being Dad again (I like that job).  I am going out tomorrow evening during low tide, last chance for me to get out on this vacation. I so  want to find something other than bottle caps. Detecting  Wish me luck, cause I'd rather be lucky than good (for now)
