Greetings to the board from a noob.

I am researching for information on native American legends and stories concerning the 'spirits' of the Superstition Mountains.  The Apache considered the place haunted and wanted to keep the white men out.  I think this was for reasons other than the legendary gold.

Anyone with any good connections to native American lore or any unusual stories--beyond the gold and greed--of the Superstitions, I would appreciate hearing from, if only an email with a pointer to some information.

The more accurate the ancient wisdom about the place, the better.

Also any latter-day tales of highly unusual events are of interest.

Thanks in advance.

Yes.  I have read the thread.  It has a good list of deaths.

I'm looking for any information not in that thread.

Thanks.
