HI  I am new to this site and this hobby, i have a whites dfx and have found several interesting item,(model A sparkplug) but no real treasue yet so to speak.I am am evangelist and also a photographer so as I am out with my camera i always take my whites dfx to see what else I can capture. I usually get so involved with the detector I send much more time than intended seeking treasure, which to me is anything I find from an old bolt to a coin cashe! i am interested in any help that will help me become a better hunter and any new ideas for places to look. I live in the Mississippi Delta. thanks, good luck and God Bless you!  steve Waveing

Hi Steve and welcome aboard!
The only advice I can give you is take your time hunting and learn your machine. As far as places to go, old school sites, picnic groves and old ball fields are good places to start. I always got good leads in small town libraries by reading the local history.
Have fun!
Mike

Hi Steve, welcome to THunting.
Just in case the thought had not crossed your mind.....look for old tent meeting/revival sites, rivers and ponds that were popular baptismal sites, and places that would have been popular for church and other social picnics.   I'm always scanning old newspapers, maps, and local histories for hints as to where those particular types of sites were.

would love to come to speak to your young people, if the logistics can be worked out.  I normally go out of the country for expences paid, a place to sleep , feed me!  Love offering, get  me back home!  If it is the Lord's will it will come to pass!
