Hello, my name is Ray Theiss and I am a new member of the site. I'm from San Angelo, Texas and am a History Major attending Angelo State University. I am also a member of the Concho Valley Aracheological Society (CVAS) and also an employee at the West Texas Collection, which is an historical archives located on the ASU campus. I have been metal detecting for over a decade at least and have hunted many sites around the state and the nation. I have also written several historical research papers, over different episodes and events in Texas History, and may have my latest essay published, which defends the 1841 Indian fight at Enchanted Rock (which is in Central Texas) from being erased by historians.
I hope to meet many other Texas metal dectorists and can hopefully go "hunting" together sometime. Please feel free to contact me and I look forward to meeting new folks.
Ray Theiss
