Is it near the town called Moses Kill where Susan B. Anthony was the schoolteacher. Something about gold coins buried near an old aqueduct. Can not remember the details if that's it will go throw my files.

Howdy, phead.....welcome from Arizona.   (Seldom's good.....I didn't see that one although I did see that Susan B. Anthony was a schoolteacher there.  I did find references to several lost treasures and/or weapons caches tied to both the French and Indian Wars and to the Revolutionary War in Washington County in Volume 7 of the United States Treasure Atlas.)

The one I am thing of was a payroll robbery around 1900, I think not sure have to look for some stuff about a train robbery in Brownsville for a guy tomorrow will see if I can find the one I am thinking of. My filing system is a wreck since I brought everything home from the shop and can't keep much downstairs because of hurricanes.

This is exactly the story I was told but having trouble finding legend or anything relevent to it on the net Great
The train robbery supposedly happened near or in Imperial Mills trasure said to be burried near tracks on the wooded side of tracks.
I did actually visit both sites the second site had more info on treasure in ny but not the story Im looking for. Thanks though !

Hello Phead ,  Welcome to the Forum !! Large Public Libraries have Local Newspapers on micro-fish system going back over 130 years . If you knew the exact date and year it would be good to research . Just an idea .
Best of Luck .
