I think that is much of what prospecting, metal detecting and treasure hunting is, an adventurous heart and curious mind. When I was about 5 years old and swinging in the back yard I kicked up a rock. It hit another rock and made a spark, so have been looking at rocks ever since.
Gold prospecting became my passion and have been poking around doing that for a good number of years. With the advent of computers my collection of stuff can now be shared and published. I have been doing mining art and reprints of old mining books and maps, have a good bit of it for sell on commercial web sites.
Right now I have a Garrett Infinium LS metal detector that gets out ever now and again. A big pile of prospecting equipment that has accumulated over the years, most are home made contraptions. Some work pretty good others give pause for thought.
I would like to thank tHunting.com for sponsoring web site space for sharing my collection for your free viewing. It is a work in progress, enjoy.
I have about a 50 old books in various stages of being ready for publishing. I'll put some more here as html pages as time permits. A photo album is in the works in these categories; maps, equipment, miners, mines, ore &c.
Well, I have enjoyed the thunting web site and reading all the posts. Look forward to more. It is amazing what folks come up with.
Best Regards, oRo
update: I have not been able to manage the web pages because of time constrains and failing vision. If I can get a system that works with bad eye sight I may give it another try on a smaller scale.
