Welcome to the site.

$80 in change on a weekend great.

Memories with the kids PRICELESS !

Hey checkout the specs on the "Garrett AT Pro" since you mention looking for a bigger machine now.
One with more bells and whistles.
Pretty neat all around detector.
Has a standard and a pro mode.
Like mine for land, beach, and in the water (water proof to 10 feet). OK I do not work there.

Just give you some starting info.

Welcome from Arizona.   Aren't you glad you've found hobbies where not only can you spend quality time with the boys, but the hobby actually has a chance to pay for itself?

Hello, and Welcome from Utah!

It sounds like you're off to a fantastic start. Especially with $80 for the first run! That's really amazing. Typically we'd get about 2-10 dollars on an average run. Glad to hear that the kids are enjoying it too. Be sure to post your finds/stories on the 'todays finds' thread and include pictures too! I use the Garrett Ace 350 and love it. It's not bottom of the line and not top of the line either. If you don't mind paying for shipping from Florida - Kellyco is a great company (where I bought mine from) that ships their detectors really fast. The Ace 350 on their website is around 300 dollars.
