Go Up Go Down

Hi. I am really just getting interested in treasure hunting but have always been one who loves to find stuff.
I am a diver and often search for whatever the sea will give up. Sorry nothing too exciting yet except a couple bottles(I'll put some pics in the bottles section) and some cool trash.
I am wanting to get ionto some metal detecting both above and below the waves. I also want to start digging some bottles biut have no idea where to start.
I am a dabbling panner, but again have only found a few tiny flakes, mostly due to an absolute void of knowledge on where to extract material.
Rockhounding or more accurately picking up neat stones is another intrest. I have had a little more luck here, but have been doing it since birth. Some rodonite, budding quartz crystal beds, and a couple fossils.
I think that about covers my intro.
I look forward to learning and sharing with you all.

Welcome to the forum... Lots of knowledge here.

You can look up gold locations in Canada on the internet. Some are much better then others.

Welcome to THunting.com!

I hope that you will soon find some neat stuff underwater. Our member toolboxdiver / Jim is also a dedicated diver and has made some very good finds. Maybe he has a few good hints for you, too.

I hope that you will enjoy our website and look forward to seeing more of your finds.

Best wishes,

Christian

I dive mostly Victoria to parksville area. I have not done the BIG wrecks cause I have been more interested in the critters and "ambience" of the more natural formations. However I intend to do them this in the next year. I really want to get into metal detecting underwater. there are alot of old wharf and anchoring sites that don't get any action because there is nothing to see but "TRASH" and we know what they say about trash. Also a lot of waterfront communities and popular beaches just waiting for me to pillage them. I am leaning towards getting a Minelad excalibur 1000. but i want to reasearch more and be sure. Buy once-Buy right.
I think you meant Abalone? Nope that is highly illegal now. But I hear they are tasty, people sometimes risk everything(boat, dive gear, etc.) to harvest them. Huge black market i suppose.
