Hi everyone,

I'm a public school teacher and teach electronics.  I am here to find metal detector projects for my students to build. I see a wealth of info here and look forward to reading more and asking questions.

Welcome to our site. Well, most projects you will find here are pretty advanced ones which can be difficult to build. But there are also easier ones requiring less skill / expertise.

There are a lot of projects here, Chris, but as a cautionary note, not all of them have been verified as being working models of a metal detector. There are some that you will find use a programmed microcontroller which has no program listing included. Find one that has been built. There are no shortage of threads here asking for help in getting a specific one to work after it failed to work based on the design posted here.
