That's true of course, and the thrill of being outside just being on the hunt is really the rewarding thing whether we find anything or not.

 Welcome in my friend.I'm also from upstate NY."near Colonie"
Just like you I too am waiting for all this snow and ice to go away Waveing
Again like you I been out for a few years but now waiting to get back in action.I got me a couple new machines and after all the bench testing i'm ready to get out an about.
Who knows maybe one day we'll stumble into each other.

Hi Stevieo,

Hey I'm pretty close by you then, just west of Amsterdam, NY.
 
lol, I go to Colonie quite often, so yes one day we'll have to have a meet & greet & maybe go out on a few searches together! (Sounds like a plan)

I'm still trying to narrow down what new detector to get, would like a decent quality name brand machine that can hunt on land as well as being a good beach hunter as well.
