Hi Everyone
 I'm new to MD, but it's something i have always wanted to do. Now i have my new detector and I'm ready to go. I'll be hitting the R.I. beaches in the next couple weeks. Can't wait!

 Welcome welcome stillsearching, this is a great place to find MD enthuesist old and new alike. They all will help you get the most out of your new hobby.

I'm just starting too. After 30 years of surface collecting I finally decided to buy a detector and take a look at what is under the surface. Today I was out about 3 hrs and found my first ring. Tomorrow the weather is promising Rogerc42 and I are going to a new site and try our luck.

May the sun always be at your back and the gold at your feet!
