Hello again to the forum.  I was recently cleaning out my garage when i found tucked back in the corner a Detectron 711 metal detector.  It is a cool dual suitcase design.  I haven't been able to find much information about the unit, and was wondering if anyone could recomend a resource on this?  I did find an article online from the New Yorker magizine cirra. 1952.  Any info would be helpful.

I live in eugene OR.  im a avid outdoorsman hunting fishing camping.  I like to read and i study theology.  I have not yet seriously used metal detectors before except to find underground pipes and the like.  But finding a detectron from the 50s has certainly spark my interests .
