Hello Folks,

I'm new to Gold hunting and have been browsing the internet on this subject. May I know your experiences (ease of use, accuracy of identifying the metal, its size, and depth, etc) on the the following gadgets .

1. Fisher Gemini 3 Cache Finder
2. Gold Scan with Laptop PC
3. GPA 1000
4.Jeohunter GROUND PENETRATING RADAR GOLD Metal Detector GPR 3D image Computer
5. MINELAB 4800 & 5000 METAL DETECTOR
6. Minelab's X-TERRA Series detectors

Appreciate your feedback.

Thanks and Regards,
Myl

Hello,

I have noticed that some of the post on this site never get read.

There are a lot of pros's putting in their knowledge and advice you just have to find it.

You might want to go to the "Boards" section and do a search for each thing you are interested in and than ask questions or post your own thread using what you learned but haven't found an answer for.

I have used Whites Gold detectors with good results years ago but those units are outdated now.

I was also looking at the Minelab 4800 and 5000 but now think that I will wait for the next new thing they come out with, give or take a year unless I can find a place to use it ( for Gold detecting)on a regular bases?

I mainly beach detect and the 4800 looks good but I think an old out dated Minelab 2200V2 might be all I need for getting the edge I'm looking for on the beach over my Sovereign GT?

This is a great site and you can learn a lot if you search and ask.

Good Luck,

JP

Myl, you really should follow JP's advice and use the search function at the top right.  Everyone of those items has been written about here before.  If you want people to be able to help you, you need to ask specific questions.

Welcome from New Mexico.    You don't indicate what type of Gold your looking for.

Some of those detectors are more like Cache hunting machines.

Yep!   Hit the Boards and jump on in.
