Clapp  For this being my first time i was excited finding anything!  I am still trying to figure out how to use my metal detector. Not sure what the modes mean or what the knobs do. any help would be much appreciated!! thanks everyone! Pray

Great sounds like ur first time detecting was a success !! Now read ur manual front to rear at least twice and practice with the settings. for me I use an all metal mode and dig everything.

Good Luck and Happy Hunting.

Cool, now the next important thing to do is to learn what your detector is trying to tell you.   You do that by keeping track of the sounds here and the readings (if any) that you see for each find you make.  If you are keeping written records, be sure to note the depth.  Also, list everything that comes out of the hole, even the junk.  If you do that faithfully for a while, it won't take long for you to start recognizing patterns and will have  a better idea of what you are digging before it comes out of the ground.
