Radio Shack discovery 3000

Go Up Go Down

Hello, I recently started spending more time using my used md i purchased about 6 months ago. I am pretty much a newbie but i am hooked and can't wait to upgrade to some other machines. I currently have a radio shack discovery 3000(which is basically a Bounty hunter) That i have been using at the local beaches and a local lake. I have a sand scoop i made myself out of pvc which i will post a picture of when i get a chance. I also use a small strong aluminum hand garden shovel for plugs and a hip double compartment pouch for junk/treasure. I'm dying to get a PI machine so i can hit the wet sand and water. For now i stick to the dry sand and freshwater lakes. I haven't done too bad really for just starting out. Some clad, A fake hello kitty ring my wife loves lol, some old .22 shells one with the bullet still in it. and the usual trash which of course i always collect and throw in the garbage at the end of my hunt after pictures. I do low and slow detecting while doing a grid. I have learned quite a bit already by reading the information here and at other forums i found. Now i have something fun to do to keep me from getting bored at the beach other than some fishing here and there while the wife is getting her tan  Great
