Buried airplanes? Do submerged count? Actually we are going to search for a downed private plane later this summer in the Northumberland Strait located between New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island. It went down about 30 years ago......

Crystal mountain ahhhhhh I miss that place. When I was at alert one of my jobs was to go to the top of crystal mountain and remove some satelite dishes??? Wink We were on 4 wheelers took all day to get up there. Man when we got up there I have never seen anything like it, huge crystals everywhere we were running them over. some were 2-3 feet easily mostly clear but there were coloured ones. I was 19 at the time and in the infantry so I didnt care about them then, but now I think about it all the time. It suxs that you cant just plan a trip there because alert is only a fly in and its locked up tight. I had to get major security clearence to get there when I was in the army. Its on the northern tip of ellesmere island way past the arctic circle, I dont even know if crystal mountain is on any maps.

popmilo are you gonna post pics of your digging hunting. My dream is to dig ww1 ww2 stuff over seas  Shocked

That must have been great-adventure Smiley Army really can get you places you never planned to visit...

This is example of stuff we will try to find (we are largely optimistic of course Wink ):

I'll give it a plus as an object-found-under-semi-solid-surface Wink

Actually that sounds quite interesting... Besides stories of strange fish found in river depths, I don't recall any bigger objects... I know there is a difference between salt-water and regular water damage but maybe there really are some big leftovers from collapsed bridges, car, tank crashes or airplanes shot down, or failed landings...

I guess sonars would be needed in that case...

Well, I live in northern, flat part of Serbia - Vojvodina. This used to be bottom of a sea long time ago, so land is flat as it can be Smiley
This helps because it turns out that all those small hills - bumps in surrounding fields are man made.
Some of them are a proven archeological sites with remains of a Celtic treasures...
Stuff like ancient pottery and Mamoth bones are more then often.

So, there is this man made mound not far from my home town, and that is our first target...
As I mentioned - supposedly, crashed airplane from WW2 is under it ...

ps. We are not some non-serious kids looking for good fun - we are a serious party of adults, well over 30, with jobs, careers, wives - and we are looking for lots of good fun! Wink

We found lots of info on "Unified Delta Puls & Sniffer Xr71 Pi".

Couple of us have few decades of soldering and calculating electronics equations behind us, so it shouldn't be a problem. (University degrees will help too I guess Wink ).

If anyone has better suggestion or specific links to parts of this forum with newest schematics, we would be grateful !

Will do that!
No problem about post count, it's always easy to talk to people who understand why are you so passionate about something like strolling around a field with big antennas Wink
