I joined because I need to learn more about contemporary metal detectors, places to go, laws, etc. I've seen some very expensive ones, and very cheap too.

I almost didn't join this web site due to the avatars found in your political category. I had to think about it overnight, and decided someone other than the moderators uploaded them, but I don't really know. I guess I'll just have to wait and see who all is here . . .

   Welcome from Arizona.  We've got something for everybody---including avatars for people we don't agree with  Wink  Besides, there is nothing that keeps people from using other avatars (mine isn't from there).

   So, what part of Alabama do you call "home"  ?   I spend a number of years in the Birmingham area, and one in Montgomery.

mobile county. a  lot of people hit the beaches here with metal detectors, all of the known historic sites being protected. But, there are many overlooked places here that need exploring. A friend who clears lots knocked over a tree with clay pots buried under it! No money though, but he thinks the pots are worth something.
