Go Up Go Down

I have just bought a new Excalibur 2 so i can stand up and detect in the water, I have just had both hips replaced in a very short time and can't bend down yet to do park detecting with my E-Trac.  I am hoping to find some loot in the water to replace the loss of park revenue.  I make all my own tools including my long handled Aluminum scoop.  Here is some pictures, ( I hope )

Hi hungry & welcome. You sound like a true treasure hunter going for a change of hunting style instead of letting the operations spoil the usual detecting method for now. Hope you find so much that you'll wonder why you didn't do the water detecting sooner. Good luck!  Smiley

Sue, I don;t know about life style, it's more like an addiction or an itch that you just have to scratch

Hungry, Nice selection of tools. I'm new to detecting and in the tool making mode right now. I especially like the stainless steel scoop. What is the tool next to it. It looks like a pvc pipe with a cap on one end and a bracket on the other? and what is the long rod with attachments on each end?

Good Day Gambol, the PVC pipe is my tool holder for the scoop. The other gadget is my hip stick, it slips onto my belt and attaches to a harness i made, at the shoulder with a clip, the bungee cord from the detector is attached to the other side at the top and the load is then transfered to your hip. my design locks the ball joint together and it does  not jump out.  The idea of the hip stick originated in the US, i just made my version of it,   Look up  Hip Stick.  They also help to keep your coil parallel to the ground when you swing

Hello Ocean,  I live on the Central Coast NSW.  The scoop is drilled, rolled and welded, the welding cost me a bucket load $50.  The next one i will make out of Stainless and weld it my self.
