Ron, when my wife and I started it seems like every time we went out we'd find enough nails to build a new house (some days, it still does)......keep on keeping on

The wife was laughing at me yesterday because I was excited that I had found 22 pennys at the local park.   Cheesy

Took my machine on vacation to Catalina Island with plans to MD the beach. Left the room at sundown, wife said don't come back until you find a diamond ring. I came back an hour and a half later with both front pockets bulging with coins and a ring that turned out to be a total fake. Zircon set in brass.
Moral... MD the area where the tourists transition from street clothes to swimwear and vice versa, I.E. benches between the sidewalks and sandy beach. It seems things fall out of pockets there frequently. Had I known how much was there I would have used just the 'sand scoop' (a must for beach hunting) and left the Tesoro home.
Good hunting,

BA, I just may take you up on the club idea... as there is much to learn about the Phoenix/AZ area.  Everything from Gold nuggets, to meteorites and good ol tot lots ha ha.

Found a ring over the weekend!  So, not real though, ha ha.  I consider it a test for the real thing.  Now, if only we had some beaches near by.   :Smiley

Although nite hunting in the desert, I think I am ticking off the prarie dogs, as I seem to end up in some of the hole-iest fields ever.

Quick question... what is "recovery speed" and what is "Silent Search"?

I did some site searching for same and am still a bit confused?

As always, thanks folks - looking forward to sharing finds.
