Hello from Belgium!

Hi all,

my name is Kasper and I live in Belgium. I'm in to metal detecting quite recent (one year ago) but I already love it. I came to this message board because I plan to build my first MD. I ordered 2 x Surf PI 1.2 boards from Silverdog and I'm waiting impatiently to receive them ). Meanwhile I'm gathering info about constructing the coil, case, etc.
My main hunting grounds are Belgiums inland fields and fresh water swimming holes. For that reason I bought a garrett AT-PRO and I'm happy with it  . My best finds are a little silver Belgian coin (Leopold 1 - 1/4 franc from 1843) and a few silver rings. While this is not my oldest coin, I'm the most happy with it because it was my first silver and it is a pretty rare coin (only 8000 made). The two rings are my first water finds so they are also special to me   The most beautiful (imo) find was a bronze goat bell.

I hope to learn a lot here and looking forward to get to know this board better.

Hello, Kasper.   The At-Pro was a really good choice.   Where in Belgium are you?   I spent a lot of time hiking, camping, and driving through Namur, Leige, and Luxembourg in the 70's.  Beautiful country and wonderful people.
