Go Up Go Down

I'm an American living in Cebu and another member of this forum got me interested in gold prospecting and recommended this site.

I'm glad to be here and I hope to learn all sorts of good things about the hobby.

Though I live here in Cebu (most of the year), I also own a home in Las Vegas and San Francisco.  I have not purchased a detector yet as I'm still scoping out the best one for me.  I was recommend several of the Tesoro models.  I hope to go prospecting in and around Las Vegas next month in the shallow (under 10-inches) creek beds around Las Vegas.  My guess is probably coming off of Mount Charleston which is Northwest of Vegas.  I may try the opposite end as well... parts of the creeks coming into Lake Mead.

I'm very green with this hobby, don't know anything yet, so if anyone is so kind to give some recommendations... I'm all ears!  =))

I also hope to do some prospecting on the beaches of Southern California after a busy weekend full of patrons.  Is this a viable method of finding lost treasures?  I will be up in Northern California in the Fall, so I hope to locate some excellent places there too!

Thank you for this site.  I hope to learn lots.

Hello smmatrix.   Welcome to THunting.com.

If you're planning on prospecting and you want a Tesoro (which makes very good detectors), you'll want to be looking at the Lobo Super Traq

Welcome aboard.  I too, lived at Clark Field only in 1966 as a ten year old AF brat.  Some great memories.  I've often wondered how it is now.  Back then as a kids you could roam off base no problem.  People there were survivors of WWII and loved Americans.
