Hi Y'all!
I found this place while searching for info on "Fletchers Gold". After reading the thread I had to join.
I grew up playing with metal detectors, my Dad was a hobby coin and relic shooter. I never really learned the science behind it, but Ive owned several detectors over the years. My favorite was a Garret Badger I found at a yardsale....wish I still had it. Im stuck with a BH 202 right now, but looking to get a Tesoro Silver uMax.
With the rising metals prices, I decided to dust off my gear and go back out. This last weekend I found a piece of melted silver in my front yard... looks like some sort of sprue weighing 7 grams.
I plan on taking my detector down the Sabine and Neches rivers in my Kayak to see what I come up with in the future.
Really nice forum here.... looks like some good folks around!
