So far everyone seems very nice and friendly. My only recomendation in buying a new detector is try to figure out what you want to do before you go out and purchase one. Me personally, I like Garrett, but that is just me. I also like the fact that my AT-Pro can be used for land and water up to 10' deep. Good luck finding  a detector and better luck going out metal detecting.

Whitekiller, I practically live in the middle of the northeastern Oregon ggold fields.  I luse to do a little prospecting and pannying. but I don't get out to do that much now.  Mostly coinshoot in parks and schools.  I have done a lot of ghosttowning and relic hunting...  mostly just play now.

Got cold weather and white ground right now.  No more detecting until Spring!                                  Wise

'Down home' was generic. I love the tahlequah / tenkiller area and have relatives there. I first saw the light of day in Dodge City Ks.
