Welcome aboard, Dave. This is definitely a good place for people who just getting started to hang out. You'll find lots of good tips just by scanning the boards. If you have specific questions, I'd suggest using the Advanced Search function (entire forum) first to see if anyone else has asked the question recently. If they haven't or you think you have a new twist on it, go ahead and start a new topic.

And if you find something that's got you puzzled, post that too.......a lot of us really like researching what unknown items---gives us something to do when we can't be in the field.

Cache's and coins,,, I have been interested in finding old stuff since I was a little boy, always had the eye too. Just didn't have any friends that were interested in that kind of adult activity!!LOL
Have one hell of a lead on were some gold caches might be, supposedly one was found back in the 80's, the farm has been a field for some time, I heard this all from a old timer who said he buried allot more jars around his property,,

Only football team in Iowa!!LOL I'm originally from western Iowa so most of my friends went to Iowa State so were always going back and forth!! Thanks for the welcome everybody!!
