Hi All,

looks like a great community, with plenty to discuss. Looking to get back into detecting after many years, but looks like I'll have to pay a visit to the UK to do any.

Brendan

You seriously can't detect in Ireland? Not even on your own property? If you haven't been detecting for years, think of all the goodies that have been lost in the meantime. Go for it! Welcome to the forum. Sue

Hi Brenden
Youre definatley in the wrong place if you want to do a bit of detecting , you better come over to OZ  you can detect anywhere over here except the public toilets  lol
Youve got a better chance of finding a gold nugget than a valuable coin here

Go Up Go Down

 Hello and  Welcome
years ago I WANTED to come to Ireland as i had good information that could of recovered the burial place of Scotta.
Who was she? She was an Egyptian princess who married one of the Irish Kings, In her travels she is said to have gone to Scotland where it was named after her.
There appears to have been a big battle in Ireland and she was killed in the fighting.
Being and Egyptian Princess she would of been given a burial befitting her rank and status.  Meaning heaps of goodies hmm.
Of course its only natural that when you mention something like this everyone wants to know WHERE IS IT?
Its still there as far as I know and as long as you have no freedon of choice then why co-operate with a load of moronic so called educated people when they cant even do the research themselves.
Theres a joke on here somewhere about archaeologists and the internet hehehe it sums them up perfectly hehe
My definition of an Archaeologist = Legal Grave Robber and rag and bone man with no knowledge of history.

OK, how many archaeologists does it take to change a light bulb?

An archaeologist dug a 100 foot deep hole and
found low voltage cable.

He announced that he had proof that people in
the 10th century communicated long distance
by Morris Code.

Another archaeologist dug 200 feet deep and
found telephone cable.

He announced that he had proof that 5th century
man communicated by telephone.

A third archaeologist dug a 300 foot hole and
did not find anything.

He announced that he had proof that first century
man communicated wirelessly.

Happy Huntin,

Tabdog
