Welcome to the site, ive been using a XLT for some time now, just start out with the pre-set programs the custom ones are good after you learn how to program the machine. Its one great machine. Set up a test garden bury some coins and see how the machine responds to your targets. Good Luck....DW

Many thanks to all.  DW..Im still working on my garden, the trouble i have with it is the machine is so sensitive in all metal mode that its taking me forever to clean up the bed!!  I picked up one sliver of rusty metal about the size of a fingernail clipping 3 to 4 inches deep. Amazing technology.

Im in the southeast corner of the state close to Dothan and Enterprise. Thanks for the greetings guys.  Im looking forward to many successful hunts.  I was at an old cemetary today and found something strange nailed inside a hollow tree.  Its a silver stainless tube and inside has coordinates written on a small piece of paper.  Exciting to find something like that.  Now...GPS time.

Wow, you might want to post that, if you have trouble deciphering it.  Sounds pretty exciting, please do mention if you find out its location or find anything!!
