 Detecting  Have you been having any luck in Michigan? It has been raining here in Iowa for several weeks. I went out yesterday and managed to dig up a few pull tabs and nails with the mud, But it was fun just getting out!

Not much luck as of yet.  I've hunted some of my city parks and figured out that they are filled with garbage buried in the ground.  Lost track of how many pull tabs and cans I've dug up.  Some of these parks are littered with this strange metalic tape that shows as silver/coins on my detector.  I'm still trying to figure out what the stuff is and what it was used for.  It seems to be everywhere.   Oh well it is still fun.

dieppen, spend some of those rainy days researching where people USE to gather in your area (listen to Dan Hughes latest podcast on hunting parks, and scan the older posts here for lots of ideas on where to search and how to research).   The more time you spend preparing when you can't hunt, the better the results you will have when you can.
