Just like to say Hi to everyone around the world hope you are having a great day. I really enjoy reading everones post on all the different boards, I hope to contribute in areas that I have some experience in mostly gem and mineral hunting. I found THunting the other day when a coworker and I were talking about buying a PI detector, but at 5000+ I thought why not build one. Not that I could but a good friend can and is willing to do so. To all the experts which DIY PI detector is the best for nugget hunting?

Thanks for all the replies. Here in N. Cal I do a lot of gold prospecting and gem stone hunting. I have a really great source for Lake County Diamonds. I have found some close to 70 carats with no fractures, great for faceting. I am also a member of the Auburn Goldhounds out of Auburn Ca, the club members are a wealth of info when it comes to gold.
