You live in a GREAT area for older coins. I had family in Wilson and used to hunt the orchards after the harvest. Don't dig too close to the trees' or the management may take offense. I have found some old coins as well a clad but the jewelery is why I kept coming back. Found somethin gold every year.

Good Luck

Junker Welcome

Welcome from the east Tennessee mts. You have picked a great hobby. It is healthy and rewarding! Consider your detector as an investment. The more you can invest in a good entry level machine the better you experience will be. The Fisher you are looking at is a great machine, White's and Tesoro would be give wonderfull service as well (I prefer Tesoro because of their outstanding warranty service)
