Hi, I'm new to the site.I'm new to detecting.I have a friend who has a detector and I have tried it and like it.
I was a gold prospector,untill an on the job accident sidelined me from dredging. I think prospecting with a metal detector will be the way to go for me.Maybe someday I will recover enough to dredge but I want to learn how to use a metaldetector to find gold.I am fortunate to live right in the middle of gold country! Hello

Hello everyone,
Watcher,I dont think theres a county by that name in NC.Rinoweb,hello I have 2 grandchildren that were born in Naples.My daughter was stationed there in the Navy.My wife went over for three weeks and now wants to go back.(any gold deposits over there?)If not shes out of luck!LOL   Grin

Thats what I thought. Most people dont realize that the first gold rush in USA was in North Carolina and Georga.I've even read that Thomas Jefferson mined gold from a creek on his property. I also found a great download on this site (in downloads section)  :)that I'm reading.A book ,firsthand account of the klondyke goldrush.Just gettin there would have done me in!Its amazing what people have gone through for a little bit of that yellow metal!!
