Hey Taz

The led readout on all detectors is really useless. Most longtime users ignore it completely and learn to understand the sounds the detector is making.

Welcome from Arizona.   It takes time to learn your machine.  And as seldom pointed out, over the long haul you'll do best learning to hunt by ear.

Welcome from New Mexico.

The TID is just a bench mark.

DO NOT believe what it says.

Take notice of it when you did it all.

Some day it will say Pop Top and you will dig a Gold Ring.

Dig it all until you learn all the sounds, you just never know. The coin could be standing straight up even which will give you a different signal also.
