Welcome from Arizona.   The Reno area is one of those magical areas full of history and plenty of opportunities to search for lost treasures of various sizes and types.

Hi Bosco, and Welcome from Utah! What brand/model metal detector are you using currently? Be sure to share your finds in the 'Today's Finds' thread also on this forum. There's lots to research here too! Just dive right in.

THANKS everyone, I am new to the craft so I will be looking and asking which detector would be best suited for what I am going to do.

I am still reading the board, and looking at stuff, but soon I will be making a post with such questions.

Thanks again for the warm welcomes.

Cheers.

Also - you will be asking where the best PLACE to get said metal detector as well. I've purchased my Garrett Ace 350 from Kellyco, which came recommended by several threads in this forum. They have great prices, and super fast shipping. I put my detector together right out of the box and had it working in just minutes! This one is a good starter detector (and depending on your budget - the Ace 250 will save you an additional 80 bucks roughly) which is also a good unit.
