Hi I was just browsing around the forum and it looks like a good place so I just joined.
I am a member of a few other forums I really enjoy reading and seeing all the great things found in this hobby.
I been detecting about 3 years now so I'm no pro by a long shot I still learn things all the time.
I'm not a big poster but I do make a few plus anytime I see someone asking for help if I can help them I will reply.
Not a lot of detectorist in my general area I been trying to get a few friends into it but no luck so far and the nearest club is like 80 miles away in Memphis so that's to far for me to drive but I've learned a lot the last few years and I owe it all to forums like this one that has members to help us along the way.

Just wanted to say hello and I'll be seeing you all around and happy hunting.

Welcome Rounderrick from Utah! Hope you have some good MD stories/finds to share with us all here. I've searched a few other MD forums over a year ago, and found this one to have the most members and have the most amount of participation in it by far! Hope you'll be here to stay.

Thanks for all the welcomes,
Guess I forgot to mention the area I'm in the Jackson area it's 80 miles east of Memphis and around 125 miles west of Nashville.
I started out with a bounty hunter sharpshooter then upgraded to the whites mxt and I now own a teknetics omega 8000 just delivered last week so haven't had a chance to get out and learn it yet but with a bad shoulder I like how light it is.
For 3 years now I've mostly just coin hunted but I'm thinking I might enjoy doing a little relic hunting so maybe this year I can learn a little more about that too.
If anyone here is around this area maybe we can get together sometimes to talk and do a little dirt fishing.
