Hi, my name is Fred, and I live in San Angelo, in the great Republic of Texas. I'm in the military and have been in for 19 years now. I plan to retire on April Fool's Day, 2012. I love to go RV'ing and used to own a 1971 Airstream travel trailer, which I just sold this year. Having the need for a toy/project (depending on my wife's or my point of view), I bought a 1978 Jeep CJ-5. One of my favorite movies is Sahara; too bad the story isn't true, but it makes for good watching. I enjoy history immensely, particularly the War of Secession (Civil War to the Yankees) and WWII. Every male in my family has been in the military, dating back to the Revolution, but given today's world events, I think that tradition will end with me.

Howdy from Houston Fred!

As a civilian, I'd like to thank you (and all US Armed Forces) for serving our country. My family has a military history too. I have a great, great uncle who died at the Alamo, my Grand-daddy was in the mounted calvary during WWI, I had some uncles in WWII, some cousins in 'Nam, and even my grandmother was a "Rosie-the-riveter"...during WWII she worked for North American Aviation installing bomb sites on B25's.
